Step 1 of 6

Step 1: Materials
Gather the materials needed for this project:
• Blueberries
• Cutting Board
• Knife
• Measuring Cup (microwave safe)
• Parchment Paper
• Spoon
• Strawberries
• Waffle Cones (12)
• White Chocolate Chips
Note
• Substitutions: For this activity, you can use any ice cream cones or waffle bowls. We used strawberries and blueberries with white chocolate for our Red, White and Blue theme (plus it's delicious) but feel free to substitute with other fillings.
Step 2 of 6

Step 2: Melt the White Chocolate
• Pour approximately 6 oz (or 3/4 cup) of white chocolate chips into your microwave safe measuring cup.
• Microwave for 30 second intervals until soft.
• Stir with your spoon.
Note
• Before melting the chocolate, make sure the base of the measuring cup is wide enough for the top of your cones to easily fit inside.
Step 3 of 6

Step 3: Get Ready
• Lay out a sheet of parchment paper.
• Unpack your cones.
Step 4 of 6

Step 4: Dip Your Cones
• One by one, dip the top of each cone into the melted white chocolate and spin if needed to coat it.
• Gently shake off the drips and place it standing up on your parchment paper.
• Let the chocolate dry and harden by sitting out on the table. You can also slide them with the parchment paper onto a plate and put them in the refrigerator for 15 -20 mins.
Note
If you want to add another tasty element, try rolling each cone in sprinkles right after dipping in your white chocolate. Then dry as normal. Yum!
Step 5 of 6

Step 5: Strawberries & Blueberries
• Wash and cut your strawberries and blueberries.
• Mix together.
Step 6 of 6

Step 6: Fill 'em Up
• When you're ready to eat them, turn them over and fill the cones with strawberries and blueberries.
• Cups make a perfect "holder" to fill more than one at a time.
• Enjoy! Happy Memorial Day!
Note
If you want add a little something extra, add a few "surprise" chocolate candies or white chocolate chips to the very bottom of your cones before the adding the fruit.
